Pickle: a personal AI you raise, with AI friends

Pickle, Inc. is a Y Combinator company (Winter 2025), led by co-founder and CEO Daniel Park, who describes himself as a med school dropout. The same team previously open-sourced Glass, a desktop AI assistant that passed 7,000 GitHub stars.Pickle's pitch: planning dinner with four friends takes forty messages. Tell your Pickle once, and it talks to your friends' Pickles, works out when and where, and gets it ready to book.

How it works

1. 1Raise it. Every Pickle is born at Lv. 1 and earns your trust over time; the more it knows you, the more it can do.
2. 2AI talks to AI. In the official demo, one request ("plan a trip with Marcus, Mina and Emma") becomes three Pickle-to-Pickle chats, one plan card, and a confirmed booking after you say yes.
3. 3Clone agent. When it talks to someone else it sends a clone with the same memory but far fewer tools: it can read and talk, but can't book, pay or change files.
4. 4Credential Enclave. Account tokens are used only inside an AWS Nitro Enclave. The enclave code is open source (Apache-2.0) and can be checked against what's running via attestation. The iOS app itself isn't open source yet.
5. 5Sharing controls. You set how much strangers and friends can hear, leave per-person instructions, and keep a Never list.

• Free to download on iPhone, with an optional Pickle Plus subscription ($8.99/month or $59.99/year).
• For now it's open only in the San Francisco Bay Area and listed only on the US App Store.
• The reel uses Pickle's official app recordings; we haven't used the app ourselves.
