Auday: turn your Apple Watch into an all-day AI recorder

Your Watch records; your iPhone transcribes, indexes and searches it locally. Ask what you were talking about when your heart raced.

How it works

1. 1Record. Start recording on the Watch. Tap to mark a moment you want the AI to pay attention to.
2. 2Sync and transcribe. Recordings sync to the iPhone about every 15 minutes and are transcribed there (not live, word by word).
3. 3Look back. A timeline of conversations, highlights, body and places; search by meaning; a daily reflection; chat with citations back to the original words.
4. 4Connect AI. Summaries, highlights and chat use a provider you choose with your own API key.

Good to know

• Transcription is Chinese and English only for now, with no speaker separation.
• Stress is an on-device estimate from heart rate and HRV against your own baseline. Not a live monitor and not clinically validated.
• Battery: in one team test, a Series 11 (GPS) recorded 12.5 hours and went from 100% to 49%. Not a guaranteed runtime.
• Privacy: original audio stays on your devices and there are no Auday servers, but text and context go to the AI provider you configure, and your own key does not guarantee zero retention. There is no backup: the archive is excluded from iCloud.
• Recording people may require their consent where you live.
