Cua Spaces: give your AI agent its own computer
From the reels

TIPFrom our own test: in Claude Code, a project-scoped .mcp.json pointing atkeeps your global config untouched.
Your agent gets a computer of its own instead of yours. It works in a separate desktop on your Mac, and you can watch and take over at any point.
How it works
- 1Share the screen. You and your agent each have your own cursor in the Space. Step in anytime, then hand it back.
- 2Teleport. Moves a signed-in app session (Chrome, Slack, Notion, VS Code, Claude Code…) into the Space. Nothing is read until you approve, and sensitive items need Touch ID.
- 3More Spaces. Add a spare Mac you own (e.g. a Mac mini) as a host for more Spaces. Max 2 macOS VMs per Mac (Apple's license).
- 4How to start. Download from spaces.cua.ai → turn telemetry off in Welcome → create a Space (the macOS 26-slim image is a large download) → let the installer connect your agent (Claude Code etc.) through the Cua MCP server.
Good to know
- Needs a Mac with macOS 26 or later. macOS Spaces need Apple silicon; Linux Spaces run via Docker or Podman.
- Early software (v0.7). Start with things you don't mind the agent touching.
- Anonymous usage telemetry is on by default. Turn it off in Settings, with
cua telemetry off, or withDO_NOT_TRACK=1. - Free on your own machines. The hosted relay is free during early access; cloud Spaces are billed by your cloud provider.
- An independent guide by @copilot_shogo. Not affiliated with Cua.

Two of us run a six‑figure business on this Claude Code setup.
Most setups forget who you are every session. This one knows your goal, pushes back when you drift, and checks its own work. Take the starter version. It takes 15 minutes to set up.
