- Every morning it sends a short brief from your connected apps, then only messages you when something needs your attention.
- It runs on its own virtual machine with a browser, so work keeps going after you close your laptop.
- Before it sends a message, makes a payment, signs a document or deletes anything, it shows you exactly what it will do and waits for your OK.

What it does
Morning brief
A short brief on the most important items across your connected apps (email, chat, your store and more).
Pings only when needed
Throughout the day it keeps tabs on those apps and messages you only when something needs you. One tester's client call fell right before her flight; Duet noticed and offered to move it.
Bigger jobs
You can hand it work like building a dashboard, a financial or sales forecast, or preparing and running payroll in Gusto.
Its own computer
A virtual machine with its own browser, so it doesn't need your laptop or phone to be on.

What to watch
Approval before actions
Sending, paying, signing and deleting always come back to you first. Anthropic says Duet never directly sees your passwords or sign-in tokens.
What to do: Connect only the apps you want it to watch, and read each approval card before you tap OK.
It's a preview
As a research preview it can still misjudge what's urgent, and background checks use your plan's limits.
